亲爱的AFS 志愿者朋友：
你们好！
这是来自AFS国际文化交流项目—德国驻上海办公室的问候！AFS（前身为美国战地组织）是世界上历史最悠久、规模最大的志愿者运行非赢利组织。它旨在为各国青年人提供跨国文化学习、交流的机会。
AFS开展的社区服务项目（CSP）为18至29岁的青年人提供了在他国公益性非赢利机构内志愿服务的机会。在这里，CSP的参加者可以通过志愿服务社区积极贡献于中国社会，同时更多地了解中国文化和语言。他们在中国生活大概10个月，并住在接待家庭中。
现在，我们正在积极准备开展2008年的CSP项目！下批外国志愿者将会在2008年9月到 达上海，他们主要来自德国。部分来自香港。志愿者的英语水平都很好。AFS目前一直在寻找愿意接待这批志愿者的接待家庭。由于这次将会有部分志愿者前往外 地参加社区服务项目，所以我们分别需要长期接待家庭在整个项目过程中接待志愿者，长期10个月，中期 6个月 同时也需要短期接待家庭在外国志愿者去外地前和从外地回来后接待他们，为期大概1个月之内.
我们对接待家庭的基本要求是：
欢迎所有对文化交流感兴趣的家庭，包括单亲、没有子女、或者父母年纪较大的家庭
住在上海
把CSP项目志愿者当作家庭的一份子
给志愿者提供一日三餐和他们独立的房间（允许同性别合住）
*志愿者自己支付长途电话费、零花钱、家庭旅行费和特殊食物费用
长期接待家庭：10个月
中期接待家庭：6个月
短期接待家庭：1 个月

Become a Host Family for AFS!
Promote Peace Through Intercultural Understanding!
A warm hello from AFS Intercultural Programs in Shanghai! AFS (formerly American Field Service) is one of oldest and largest, nonprofit, intercultural exchange organizations in the world. AFS dedicates itself to build peace through intercultural understanding. In Shanghai, we are partnered with The Jane Goodall Institute – Roots & Shoots Shanghai to allow more Chinese and foreign youth alike the opportunity to experience intercultural learning and promote world peace.
We need your help and support as host families for our foreign participants on our AFS Community Service Program (CSP)! CSP allows foreign young adults (18-29) to volunteer with local nonprofits while staying with host families for 10 months to learn Chinese culture and language. We also need temporary host families for periods under one month.
The next group of participants arrives September 2008 and will stay until June 2009. Most participants are from Germany, two of them are from Hong Kong . The participants will volunteer at the following nonprofit organizations: New Vision for the Disabled, Tangsi Migrant Children’s School, Hongwei Migrant Children’s School, Limin Migrant Children’s School and a school at Huangshan, Anhui Province.
AFS Host Family Criteria:
- We welcome both Chinese and multicultural (ethnically non Chinese) families willing to host a foreign young adult into their homes for 10 months We also need medium term host families for periods around 6 months or short term host families for 1 month on a voluntary basis.
We also welcome families that are single parent, have no children or are older parents
- Live in the City of Shanghai
- Provide the participant with 3 meals each day and their own room (AFS allows sharing of bedrooms between host siblings of the same gender. AFS does not provide reimbursement or payment for hosting, but participants are expected to cover their own expenses for long distance phone calls, family vacations, special foods or beverages, etc.)
- Treat them as a part of the family
